Who We Are
We are a community-based organization focused on helping make the world around us a better, happier place. With the help of our tireless staff, we organize fundraisers, exciting community-building events, and in-depth training sessions for our volunteers. The Tidewater Virginia Chapter of the Construction Specifications Institute is an association of allied professionals engaged in the design and building industry of the Hampton Roads area. Our diversified membership of owners, developers, architects, engineers, specifiers, contractors, product and manufacturer’s representatives, code and inspection professionals, and any professional involved in the design/construction field meet together to share information and are dedicated to improving organization, management, and communication of building information that benefit the built environment of Hampton Roads. Nationally, CSI has over 8,500 members and is headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia. Our chapter is part of the Middle Atlantic Region, and comprises chapters from Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C.
